What should the QR code open?

Your QR code updates as you type. It never expires and does not track scans.

Made in your browser. Your text and Wi-Fi password are never sent anywhere.

How to make a QR code

  1. Choose what the code should do: open a link, show text, join a Wi-Fi network, call a phone number or start an email.
  2. Fill in the details. The QR code updates as you type.
  3. Pick colours and a size if you like, then download it as PNG or SVG.

Always test your code with your phone camera before you print it.

These QR codes never expire

Many QR websites create a “dynamic” code that points to their own server, then stop working when a free trial ends. SimpiGimpi creates static codes: the information is stored inside the pattern itself. They work forever, need no account, and nobody tracks who scans them. The trade-off is that you cannot change where a static code points after printing it, so double-check the link first.

Share your Wi-Fi with a QR code

Enter your network name and password, then print the code and stick it near your router or on a table. Guests point their camera at it and join without typing anything. The password is put into the code on your own device and is never sent to us.

PNG or SVG?

PNG is a normal image that works everywhere: documents, slides, messages and social media. Choose 2048 px for print. SVG is a vector file that stays perfectly sharp at any size, so it is the best choice for designers, signs, banners and packaging.

Tips for codes that always scan

  • Use a dark colour on a light background with strong contrast. Light codes on dark backgrounds fail on many phones.
  • Keep the white border (quiet zone) around the code.
  • Print it at least 2 cm wide, and larger if people will scan it from a distance.
  • Shorter content makes a simpler pattern that scans faster. Use a short link where you can.
  • Choose higher error correction if the code may get scratched or dirty, for example on outdoor signs.

QR Code Generator FAQs

Answers about expiry, Wi-Fi codes and printing.

Do these QR codes expire?+

No. They are static codes with your content stored inside them, so they keep working forever and do not depend on our website.

Is it really free?+

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many codes you make or how often they are scanned.

Is my Wi-Fi password safe?+

Yes. The code is created in your browser and your password is never sent to our servers. Anyone who scans the printed code can join your network, so only display it where you are happy for people to connect.

Can I change the link after printing?+

No. Static codes cannot be edited after they are made. If the address might change, point the code to a page you control and update that page instead.

What size should I print a QR code?+

At least 2 cm by 2 cm for close scanning. As a rule, make it about one tenth of the scanning distance, so 10 cm wide for scanning from 1 metre.
